The BLOC Café Kitchen is all about bringing people together with food. Larry Groves with his wife Darla started the BLOC Café Kitchen in January 2010. It started small and has grown beyond anything the two imagined! At the Kitchen, everybody is given second, third, and more chances. People that cannot find jobs can work at the Kitchen and, as an added benefit, can bring the food home to their families. People who need community service hours—people leaving jail or prison, as well as students—can always volunteer at the kitchen. BLOC Café Kitchen is open for a community meal once a week on Wednesday afternoons from 10:30-12:30.
