LeAnn Sanson
Weightless Anchor Director
I was born and raised in Columbus, Indiana and moved to Lancaster, OH before my junior year of High School. All of my adult life has been spent in Cincinnati, and that is where I consider
home. I’m blessed to have 4 beautiful children and 4
grandchildren. I have been in Christian service for over 30
years. Most recently I served as the Director of Outreach and Worship
Leader for First UMC in Wapakoneta, OH. God used my time there to prepare
me for the journey ahead.
Women
who are hurting have always held a special place in my heart, perhaps because I
have felt the pain of a life not surrendered to Christ. Even while
working in ministry, I struggled to accept the unconditional love that Jesus has
for me. Ignoring grace, I continued to try to earn a love that is too
great to be deserved. Like the prodigal son, I went out searching for love
in worldly things. I am so grateful that we serve a God who is always
waiting for His children to come home. My addiction to alcohol almost
cost me my life, but God ran to me, held me tight, and welcomed me into a peace
and comfort I could never find in a bottle. I want to share the living
hope that I have found with women who feel like they have no hope. I am
humbled to be a part of BLOC Ministries. I love being a part of a team
that strives to draw closer to God so that we can show our neighbors the
unconditional love of God that brings freedom.
"For
this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they
began to celebrate." Luke 15:24
"When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and
pray to the Father. And may you have the power to understand, as all
God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ,
though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with
all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." Ephesians 3:14, 18-19
