Walter Vasquez
Director of Hispanic/Latino Outreach
I emigrated from Guatemala where I was born and raised to Price Hill in 2007. I fell in love with this neighborhood and Cincinnati since day one. Even though it has not been easy, as a Hispanic/Latino I understand the deep needs and challenges of life in this neighborhood. I have experienced pain and been affected by the consequences of violence first hand but this has been the driving force for me to get involved and to be active in the community.
My love for Christ has been the biggest influence in doing what I get to do, he is my inspiration and the reason to believe in the transformational power of the gospel for I have seen God working in my family and myself. I feel honored to get to work on behalf of the Hispanic/Latino community of Price Hill with Bloc Ministries and I am so optimistic about reaching out to the entire city of Cincinnati and more.
I also have been serving the youth in the local hispanic church for the last decade and I get to work with an international Hispanic Christian organization whose mission is to help local churches in reaching the next generation, parenting, and families.
Do you feel the call to Mission? Are you looking into learning more about Latin America’s culture and finding opportunities to fulfill the great commission?
Join us in reaching our neighbors in Cincinnati and change the lives of our Hispanic/Latino community in Price Hill and Cincinnati. Together we can help the youth by empowering them and also assist the parents to do better.
Ministerios Bloc.
“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever”.
