National Urban Training Center

BLOC’s National Urban Training Center exists to equip God’s people for his mission to vulnerable communities. Our strategy is to lead people through teaching, reflection, and practice so that they can be formed into people ready to join God’s work in any urban context.

Internally, the Urban Training Center provides equipping for BLOC staff in the areas of discipleship, ministry, trauma training, and support raising. All new staff and interns also go through a 12-week training in their onboarding process.

Externally, the Urban Training Center offers courses for churches and groups seeking to be equipped for neighborhood ministry in urban contexts. Additionally, the Urban Training Center lead mission groups that serve with BLOC through a formation experience that equips them to take their experience with BLOC home to apply in their own communities.
